Who we are & what do we do

  

The Digital Camera Store is a part of the vstores network, a wholly owned division of The Virtual Store Group PTY Ltd, based in Sydney, Australia. We are an Australian business through and through and have over ten years experience in selling products online. Each store is built around the principle of making your online shopping  experience easy and simple. Who owns the company?

  

Each of the specialist retail stores and comparison sites form an eCommerce network called vstores. vstores is a trading division of The Virtual Store Group (VSG), a private holding company owned by the CEO & Founder, Jeremy Crooks (see bio. below).

Jeremy has a history of being involved with early stage start-up’s, having been on the founding management teams for a number of business’s across a range of industries both on the agency and media publishing side. For the last twelve years, he has held Head of department and Director roles across most of the functional commercial areas of a digital/web business, including, Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Product Development and Strategy.

Jeremy joined Europe’s largest eCommerce service, Kelkoo, as Business Development Director in 1999 responsible for strategic development and distribution across ten countries. He later moved in to the media side of the business as Media Director to develop the advertising strategy and generate revenues from display advertising and sponsorships.

Kelkoo was acquired by Yahoo! in March 2004 and in 2005 Jeremy was transferred to Australia as Head of eCommerce at Yahoo!7 to launch a new comparison shopping service in May 2005.
Since then he has consulted on digital projects for Optus, News International, Venture Capital companies and digital marketing and strategy agencies before founding VSG.

We think about you, our customers, constantly -  we obsess about providing you with the right information when it’s most appropriate for you in a way that is straight forward and clear to understand. We toil all day on the website design and functionality, tweaking and modifying trying to make it simple for you to find products, reviews, specifications or just your way around the site.

Why we’re doing it?

  

Whether you’re new to this internet thing or like us have been mucking around well before the bubble, then we share the same frustrations – trying to find, research and buy products online was not a wholly pleasurable experience and we knew we could do it better. We take a “customer centric” view of our business, which is not just something we say to sound good, we actually do – above everything, we want you to be happy, to tell your friends and to come back and buy more stuff from us. Customer Service - our “no quibble”, “no hassle”, no questions asked” customer service – you can send back your product if you’re not completely happy with it, and as long as it conforms to our returns policy we’ll give you your money back, no worries.

We use the latest commercial encryption standards to protect your order which have been vetted by Banks, Insurance Companies and even the Australian Government. We do not disclose or sell any of your information to third parties.

 

Product Selection - We offer the top products from the best suppliers in the marketplace and constantly scour the planet for new and interesting items. We do not buy grey imports from other countries so you know that everything we sell is shipped from Australia, with a full Australian manufacturers warranty and you won’t have to move to Vietnam to use it as the plug will fit at home.
