<br /> <strong>Pros:</strong> Loved this bad. Nice color, with the splash of red. Great protection for the laptop! Plenty of room for cables, surge protector, pens, iPod, etc...<br /><br /> <strong>Cons:</strong> Strap is a little too long. Interior is a little too snug for laptop. Fits, but 1/4 to 1/2 more in surrounding space out be a little better. Major issue - both zippers broke in less than 1 year. I do use this almost every day, just to carry from house to car, car to office and back again. Nothing too strenous. I do however, carry a file or two home with me in the case. Probably would have lasted longer without carrying any papers.<br /><br /> <strong>Other Thoughts:</strong> Really liked this bag, but not sure that I will buy it again. Need something that will last at least 1 year. Haven't tried to contact manufacture company, not sure if it's worth the hassle. No fault of Newegg - they are wonderful.

<br /> <strong>Pros:</strong> I didn't order this bag from newegg, :( But when I first got this thing is see if my ASUS G71GX-RX05 17" laptop fitted. It does! Just probably have to be careful zipping it up. I also packed the power brick in it still works! I love the colors! Black and red are my favorite combination. Lots of pockets. I hear the strap is to long... Well, it is made for over the head type. And for me (5'7") it isn't bad! I like it the way it is. Some may not. The space reserved for the laptop is very cool feeling. I want a blanket like that. I like the fact there is a small reserved place right inside the main compartment for pens and stuff. 2 pockets for SLIM cased dvd's or cd's. And two smaller pockets for SD cards or USB drives. Plus, a thinner pocket for papers or mags. Two, outter pockets for whatever. I use one for my power adapter.<br /><br /> <strong>Cons:</strong> The included power brick case won't fit the ASUS G71 adapter. The case is a LITTLE tight but still works. That's why I gave it 4 eggs and not 5. NOT NEWEGG'S ISSUE!! Other then that, I really can't diss this bag.<br /><br /> <strong>Other Thoughts:</strong> I'm straight also, This bag is awesome! If I could change one thing it would be maybe add.. hmm... about an 1/2 to the height to fit more laptops more comfortably maybe even 1/4. Maybe I will try to modify it a little bit to fit better. Who knows. I DO recommend this bag! I have yet to take it to class or on trips. To see how it takes being "thrown around" PSH, yeah like I'd throw around my ASUS..

I own a 17 inch Gateway Gaming laptop. The laptop and battery charger fit perfectly in. It has 2 pen holders and 5 pockets inside. Outside it has a slim pocket on the top for a small mp3 player with a headphone hole, and a larger compartment covering the rest of the front. Other side of the outside (the part that rests against you when you're carrying it) there is a velcroe pocket that is large enough to hold something like a newspaper or magazine. I like to read my Game Informer so I carry that around in there. Quality of the fabric is thick and strong no need to worry about that heavy laptop falling through. My laptop is about 10 lbs with the charger, and that wide strap is comfortable. All in all this product is excellent if you are looking for a low cost high quality solution for carrying that honkin huge laptop you have.

I love everything about this bag. The color combination is great, there are a lot of compartments, and even comes with a zippered pouch for your cords. The only thing that is a minor flaw is that the strap is not adjustable, it sits kind of long from the shoulder but it's still comfortable enough to get around. It's worth the extra bucks compared to the typical laptop bags you find in the stores for the style, durability and protection. Fits a 17" Mac Book pro perfectly with more room for other stuff.

This is an excellent laptop messenger bag. The wide strap provides a comfortable carrying experience. It's a messenger bag, so don't expect a ton of storage but there's enough for a few accessories and some traveling paperwork. The small cable case is a nice addition to help keep everything organized. <br /> <br />I was looking for something to fit my widescreen 16" laptop and couldn't find anything that specifically said it would work. This bag is perfect for our laptop but I can see where a 17" would fit but may be a little snug. <br /> <br />One small gripe I have with this bag is the zippers. One already has some stiffness moving back and forth so durability there may be a concern. Only time will tell but for now it's great.

I love this bag!!! I debated over bags and checked out many before deciding on this one. The 17 inch bag fits my 15.6 inch Toshiba just right with room for extras. Great padding to protect and lots of extra pockets. The colors are classy, in brown and light blue. The strap hits me just right at 5'3" (I know other reviews said it was too long.)

Overall, this is a good product. It is not easy to find 17-inch laptop bags. This one fit my laptop perfectly and had a lot of storage. I love the extra pouch provided for all your cords and there were several interior pockets which were very useful. <br /> <br />However, it is big and bulky. I also did not like the material. The canvas is very stiff and not comfortable. The interior has its own special features to protect your notebook so the outside could be more flexible. <br /> <br />For the choices available for such a large notebook, this was the best choice.

This bag is one of the few bags designed for a 17 in laptop. The price is good and the bag serves its purpose. However, there isn't much room for books, notebooks, etc. Also, it does not come in a variety of colors.

This bag is a nice back but & I'm sure it fits most sony vaios but if you have a VGN-AR series vaio the cornar of the bad are rounded & don't allow you to zip the bag closed. But other wise it's a very nice bag.

This bag is great for a HP dv7. Fits perfectly! No extra pad or sleeve needed. Although I'm going to get the Belkin sleeve to go into the Targus Leather bag I also purchased. I purchased The Targus after this one to use as my professional looking bag. However, the Targus is nice, but once I received it I realized this Belkin is good enough. It can definitely hang out with me on the professional gigs as well as the casual stuff and it's really cool. It gets lots of attention and compliments. I'm keeping both bags and I'll be getting the matching sleeve but for the Targus due to it's not as padded as this one and the PC moves around too much in it. It's not too bad, it's just that I'm really picky about getting any kind of scratch or if I drop it I don't want to worry. The PC (HP 17") fits so perfectly in this Belkin I think it was made for it. The color even matches the PC. I'm giving the Targus 5 stars too because it's beautiful and smells like real leather so I guess it is. :)

I purchsed this bag for my daughter at college. I had a very difficult time finding a bag to fit her 17" laptop. She is very happy with it! It works better than a sleeve since it has a strap and she can tote it to class and study sessions. Bravo Belkin.

A lot of pockets and compartments for any accessories you could possibly have. The pocket that holds the laptop itself is very soft and protective. It was really difficult to find a bag for a 17 inch laptop and this is one of excellent quality.

Okay...so I bought an HP Pavillion Entertainment laptop with a 17" widescreen. With my OCD I don't want a scratch on it. I spent my time looking at all these bags (you know, stopping in at BestBuy and Walmart) to see what would work for me and be cute at the same time. I saw this bag online and went to the actual seller's website to see a demo. I was pretty comfortable with the purchase; expected something average for the low cost (well, because you get what you pay for, right?). And, then it arrived and all I could say was, "YES"! It hit the spot. The computer pocket is velvet-lined, there is an inside pouch for the power supply, there are other inner pockets, outer pockets, a slip-hole for earphones...and, the best part of all - an extra inner lining pillow to add even further cushion to the bottom of the laptop pocket. The padding is also excellent for the bag's look, size, and feel. I don't think I've ever been this passionate about a purchase. It's a damn good buy. Go for it. You won't regret the purchase of this bag.

We have a big Toshiba Qosmio and it fits well in this bag plus it matches in color perfectly. The bag comes with a removeable cushion in the bottom, which we took out and now the laptop has room. There is a lot of room for other stuff and there are pockets EVERYwhere in this bag. It carries nicely, smoothly, and it protects the laptop. I have not one complaint with this bag!

Love this case. Great utility perfect amount of space for the little extras - mouse, power cord, a few files, mp3 player, etc. Well apointed. Shoulder strap is the most comfortable of any I've seen. PLUS, I get compliments on it as well.

This bag is great! It has plenty of room and a bunch of different size compartments.I have a 17" HP laptop and was having a difficult time finding one that fit in stores that left room for other items. This bag also is accompanied by a smaller zippered removable bag for personal items or your mousse, memory stick ect... I love the nuetral brown color set off with the blue highlights. I would commend this bag to a friend1

I recently ordered the Belkin 17" Messenger Bag and had an opportunity to use it during a business trip. It had the perfect amount of space to store my 17" Laptop, cables, accessories and business files. It was very comfortable to carry and I loved the colors. For over a year I've used this bag under all conditions including rain and snow. Stepped on the blue part of the strap all the time and it hasn't gotten any permanent stains. I put the bag on the floor at work, on the floor in the car, and in the trunk all the time and it doesn't look dirty at all. Unlike some stylish products that look good on the shelves but gets ugly quickly after little use. So, A++ for the stain resistance of the matereal. Same with durability, no loose threads or tears, and as solid as the day I recieved it. <br />It took me almost a year to find this bag, so that says a lot about how picky I am. At first I really wanted the flap that's a hallmark of the messenger style. But I don't miss it at all with this bag. The functional aspect of the design is fantastic. No complaints at all, I can fit everything I want and sometimes more (including clothes for a two-day trip) in the back pocket of this bag. Save your time and stop looking for Prada or other brand name messenger to fit your 17" laptop, this is it. <br />The padding is generous, you can drop the bag from your shoulder and don't need to worry about your laptop. <br />When great products come around I always thank the people behind them. I'm in manufacturing, so I know when people care about the things they do for a living, great results ensue. Kudos to people at Belkin.

I got my bag about a week ago... I LOVE IT!! I have a HP Pavillion Entertainment notebook and it fits snug and like a glove in the bag with plenty of room left for the additional pouch that is included with cords and extras like folders, cell phone, keys and a digi cam... <br /> <br />The only thing that I was worried about was the long strap that folks kept referring to.. well, to my surprise... That is not an issue anymore... Belkin must have fixed the length because at its shortest the bag falls around the top part of my ribcage at its longest right on my hip.... I am indeed very tall but, I tried this on my 5'4" child and it was just a couple of inches difference... so problem solved! <br /> <br />The bag is beautiful in design, very modern and most important of all its very sturdy both inside and out... My boyfriend just got his new Notebook as well and he is soooooo impressed with my bag that he will order one for his too... <br /> <br />Great job Belkin!!!

I LOVE THIS BAG! It's great looking, I get lots of compliments on it. It's sturdy and smooth fitting over my shoulder and makes carrying a larger laptop so much easier. It has lots of great pockets, but I wouldn't put a lot of stuff in the bag because the slim fit/look doesn't allow the bag to be "stuffed" without compromising the ability to zip and the zipper.

This bag is perfect for the larger laptops. Love the color and space for other items as well. There is a little handle on the top, so you can carry it without the shoulder strap. The little zippered bag is perfect for the power cord, etc... I highly recommend this bag to anyone. It is a great product and very reasonably priced.

This bag is just what I had been looking for...fits my 17" laptop plus a textbook and binder. The laptop slot has a soft lining, you don't need a sleeve. It had several pockets for cell phone, wallet, etc. The shoulder strap is awesome, really sturdy quality bag. <br />
