<p>This mfgr has fallen way down from what it once was .. Too much Mgt turmoil. Most profitable div is printers -- but its currently run by a smug anatomical feature. Ltrs of complaint to Mgt do not get answers.</p>

The printer is awesome for a small office of 6 people. But the toner cartridges are insane $. Prints all kinds of in-house marketing materials and looks great. Handles all day-to-day printing too. Except for the toner cost, this is a great machine.

Pros: speed copy quality sturdyCons: large unit I was searching for a color laser but did not want to sacrifice the speed and copy clarity of my 6 year old B&W HP LaserJet - which BTW I transferred to my Office Manager's desk. Speed and copy quality is outstanding and it appears to be constructed well with heavy plastic. Connection time was under 30 minutes, including a firmware update. It's a bit bulky to accomodate the 4 color toner cartridges, but not overly so. First copy is out very quickly and the claimed speed of 30 ppm appears to be accurate. Very pleased with my purchase and looking forward to many years of use. FYI as of this writing this unit is available either online or via special order @ Office Depot, but worth the wait!

From the moment we plugged it in, the printer has worked just as stated and performance, and the quality of printing is beyond what we expected. A little concern on how much ink it will use, but we have to wait and see.

I have used HP printers at home and at the office for years. I gave Samsung a shot when we switched to color laser base on positive reviews and cheap price. That printer was slow and required replacement of the imaging device, which was equal to almost 75% of the purchase price of the printer, after only 8,000 pages. The ongoing expense did not seem worthwhile, so after further research and assistance from my account rep and another agent I went back to HP. This printer is fast and the quality is far superior to the Samsung. The only thing that I think I would change is it's paper capacity, though it's not a major inconvenience.

This is a great printer for the money. It prints so fast it will blow your mind, color and black and white. The color is brilliant, and overall copies look wonderful. 'The only downside is that it could use a bit more storage in tray 1 and 2.
