Solid construction that you would expect from Lowepro. However it's a very tight fit for the Canon T2i with the BG-E8 battery grip installed. A little more depth in the interior would have earned it 5 stars.

Keeps all my camera parts safe and secure

It's not as big as I expected, but I suppose that's my own fault for not trying it in person.
It fits my gear well despite that though. It provides good protection - the zips are well hidden and the rain cover works well. It fits my tripod well while still being pretty comfy to wear. Also, it's cool looking.

Functional, small, and very solid. I like the design.

I am a casual hiker and always take my DSLR with me but have been limited to what I can carry in a normal backpack, which is usually the camera, extra battery, and 1 lens. With the Lowepro Pro Runner 2000 I have a very comfortable backpack that I can customize to carry the camera, 2 extra lenses, extra battery, filters, and, best of all, my tripod. The Pro Runner 2000 even has a bottom support for the tripod that can be stowed away in a dedicated pocket when not used. It also has a stowable rain cover in case I get caught in bad weather. There is also room for water bottles, a light jacket, etc. It is ideal for my purposes and I am really enjoying my hikes even more now.

Heavy duty. Plenty of room for extra gears. Built to last. There's nothing bad to say about this product from a great, reputable manufacture.

I'll never go back to a shoulder bag! This bag distributes the weight of my pro-level DSLR, prime telephoto and flash over both shoulders so I don't have the pain when carrying everything slung over one shoulder. However, I believe the bag is suited better for smaller DSLR bodies. Mine fits, but is almost wedged into place. There's a little less room to carry the odds and ends like I did before, but again, I choose the smaller bag. I'm going to take the unnecessary stuff out. It's a nice bag, well made, especially for the price. It's nice not to have your bag swing all over the place when you're shooting. It has a belly strap, a chest strap, and a tripod 'strap': feature filled for a small price! And yes it doesn't have securing straps inside, but you can buy velcro strips at your local hobby or fabric store and use them.If you have a mid-size to large DSLR, and long lenses, I recommend the next size up, or two, but the Lowepro Pro Runner series are a good choice. I ordered this bag for my Nikon SLR camera and lenses because I ran out of room in my old bag. I thought that all of my components would fit in this model, but they didnt (my fault not the manufactures). The bag like all of my Lowepro bags was of great quality. [...]

Great bag, fits my camera with the telefoto lens attached and still has plenty of room for the rest of my stuff. Great little rain cover attached so you always have it and a place to put your tripod.

Nice backpack - not too big - not too small... Works great for a camera and a few lenses.

I am very happy with my new Lowepro Pro Runner 200 SLR backpack.
I recently sold my Lowepro Slingshot 200 in favor of this bag for my largest lens wouldn't fit in the Slingshot. I've got my Nikon D90 with MB-D80 grip and Nikon 18-200 (with hood) all together (camera sitting sideways) inside this bag, ready to pull out and start shooting! Also in the main area is my Nikon AF 50mm F1.8, Tamron AF 200-400mm LD (IF) with hood reversed, and my Nikon SB-600. Also in the main area are two stofens, extra camera strap and battery charger.
I'm amazed that everything fits!!! Even with that much weight it remains comfortable. No complaints!

The pack is compact yet has many good features, such as a tripod/monopod holder, built in rain cover and lots of compartments just to name a few. The pack is quality made and fits my Nikon D90 with len and other lens and accessories to the tee. I would recomend this pack to anybody. Its not to big and not to small. Comfortable to wear.

The size of this backpack holds my Canon Rebel, with 2 lenses and a flash. I love that the sizes of the openings can be adjusted like a camera bag to fit different items. The only problem that I have
is that there are no straps to hold the equipment in place. My husband picked up my bag when it was unzipped and out fell my zoom lens on the floor. I would like to see straps added to hold everything in.

I was looking for a smaller backpack to carry a camera and lenses while I'm riding a trail bike. This fits the bill. It protects my equipment (even has a rain sac built into it) and still allows me freedom of movement while I cycle.

i use this to store and carry my dslr, flash and lenses. It is sometimes difficult to use this in a run and gun type of gig, since it is a backpack. I have augmented it with a lens pouch so that i can change lenses quickly

good for carrying DSLR & lens, extra lens and back-up P&S and some accessories for day trip

Just the right size for my CannonEOS450 Macro lens 75-300 telephoto 10-22 wide angle lens
plus spare battery, charging cable, spare
SDHC cards and small bits and pieces.
Comfortable fit and looking smaller than it is.
Various nooks and crannies for extras.

really useful and comfortable

Some might argue I do not love photography enough. I love using the DSLR and having my favorite lenses when traveling. The images are obviously the reward, for transporting everything across the country or planet.

The backpack is very comfortable. Indeed, I will consider backpacks rom Lowepro in the future. I carry the rebel body and two lenses, plus some miscellaneous items. However, there is room for a bit more in there too. The protection the pack provides seems about as good as you can get from a soft case.

When the time comes to travel with the DSLR and multiple lenses, this is a solid choice. Well done Lowepro.

I got this bag to centralize all my gear, and it does the job perfectly. It holds my 50D with 10-22mm, 17-50mm, and 75-300mm lens, a HFS10 camcorder with Opteka fisheye attachment, an Olympus Stylus 840, 3 chargers, and several memory cards/batteries. The bag's pretty full now. The compartments are well padded, and the dividers are firm/strong. It's comfortable...I've only worn it for several hours continuously and have no complaints. Overall, the bag is well designed and versatile for a lot of setups. However, it may have some limitations for people who have battery grips, big lens, or many types of lens. Also, there's no quick access like the Slingshot series, so that's something to consider. Happy shooting...cheers.

This bag easily swallowed my modest collection of camera gear (body and lens, external flash, spare battery and a few other odds and ends) with plenty of room left over. The interior is composed of Velcro panels that are easily rearranged to hold gear snugly. The main access panel unzips such that it folds open easily, which makes getting at your gear very easy. I do wish it had a few more zippered or otherwise enclosed pockets to hold your smaller items like spare batteries, but at least for me there was enough storage. Unlike some other bags I've seen this one is big enough to hold a jacket and your lunch, so you can take your camera somewhere interesting and spend a few hours. It has a separate, modest sized pocket on the front that they indicate could be used for a small jacket. A well-packed lunch (you don't want jelly leaking onto your gear) would snuggle nicely in some of the spare compartments in the main part of the bag.

My main ding against the bag is that it is relatively short, so the shoulder straps come around under your armpits fairly snugly, which is not super comfortable. Given the relatively light loads you're likely to carry with this bag it is not a deal killer.

Backpack is great. Its small but can hold more than some of the other bags I was looking into. It can probably hold more equipment than you could really need at any one time.

This is a great bag. It's small and compact but has more than enough space for everything you need. I was able to carry two lenses, my camcorder, a ton of batteries, manuals, power cords, phone, jacket, wallet, keys, etc. In fact I carried everything I needed in what looks like a pretty small bag. And the best part is that it's really comfortable.

I have another Lowepro bag but I've never had to use the rain cover. The first time I used this bag was in the rain forest in Puerto Rico. Not only was there a lot of rain and water, I fell into one of the streams. But all of my equipment was protected.

The only negative about this bag is that you have to take it off to access your equipment. So, while it keeps your hands free it's not the bag for you if you need to keeply get to your stuff.

Other than that I love this bag. And the price on Amazon is the best price I've found.

I have bought another camera bag lol. My first backpack. It is well built and I love the rain cover that is included. Great for short trips or when you don't want to pack all your gear. I also have the Slingshot 200. This will carry a little more gear and the weight sits better if you are walking alot. It is well designed. There is a strap and bottom pouch to mount a tripod on the back. Well padded. You can rearrange the dividers. I can put a 40D with 70-200 attached in the bag. Good subtle choice of colors. Happy with mine.

As an SLR case, this one does great! My Canon T1i and assorted lenses go in the bag perfectly, with plenty of extra space to add more. I can easily cart the SLR, charger, SDHC cards, lenses, USB cables, camera guide, etc around with me. The rain guard is a very cool idea too... stows away completely like a fold-up parka then pops out when you need it - takes literally a second or two to get your case and gear covered. Tripod holder is function for small tripods, too. Pockets on the front, so not everything has to go in the bag... I used it for travel docs!

There is a good handle on top, which ended up being important to me since the bag is really... strange, to wear with the backpack straps. It's thick enough to protect the SLR really well, but this also makes it stand straight 'at attention' off your back. I found moving around an airplane with it on a lame task, and wearing it around other people means making awkward moves so you don't hit people with it when you turn.

Good case, keeps the important stuff safe... just awkward to wear around.
