<p>The Canon 7D is one of the top in its class and can perform to the level professionals need.</p>

Love this camera so far. There are more than enough great reviews out there and I feel this would be the same. Every major function is very quickly and easily accessible without diving deep into menus. Weather sealing is awesome and really lowers my worries when taking photos close to the ocean or in less than perfect weather. <br /><br />Video looks great. Even with my clumsy focusing... <br /><br />Still discovering new features. Very impressed with this camera<br /><br />The only problem with the camera is that there is ONE dead pixel on the display. not noticeable except when viewing very dark images. (just a tiny blue spec). I would send it in to have it fixed but it's not worth losing the camera for any amount of time. Doesn't affect the photos at all, just slightly annoying.

You've heard about the 7D enough, you should really just buy it. I finally gave in, and it was the best thing I did for my career. I use it mostly for video, but it doesn't hurt that the picture quality is incredible. It can be a bit loud while filming, hopefully the newer versions will fix that problem, but with an additional mic it will be no problem.

All around great product!

I was debating between the T2i the 60D and the 7D. I went for it and so far the photos indicated it was well worth it.

I am very happy with the 7D. It does everything I could possibly want. Shutter speed is great. Options are great. Image quality is great. Feels great in the hand. Love it! <br />

This is a great camera and well worth the money. I am having a great time learning all the dials and settings etc. Lens is very universal and I use it a lot. <br />I also purchased three books [different vendor] that explain how and why you might choose the various settings. <br /> 3. M.Guncheon "Canon EOS 7D" ISBN 978 1 60059 664 3<br /> 2. Charlotte Lowery "Canon EOS 7D digital Field Guide" ISBN 978 0 470 52129 8<br /><br />The pictures are clear and sharp. I highly recomend this camera

Can't put down this camera since I bought it. As someone who regularly shoots on massive ENG Panasonic HD cameras or rinky-dink handcams for smaller projects, discovering the 7d has been amazing.<br /><br />I shoot 90% wildlife videos so being able to shoot all sorts of critters in 720p60 with really shallow depth of field has been a delight.

I am a freelance videographer and amateur photographer. Before buying the 7D I owned an HVX. What I love about both is how versatile and user friendly they are. The 7D produces excellent images even with lacking quality light, And specifically with the canon 18x135 zoom lens you can achieve basically any shot you want.<br /><br /> Where the 7D really shines is that, beyond being user friendly, you can also learn all the ins and outs of it, to create really amazing stuff. <br /><br /> The only part that is lacking is the sound quality. It does have a mic, but it is very limited. And the audio out port SHOULD be XLR, but it's not. I know the 7D is not specifically designed for filming, but if Canon wants to continue marketing it to filmmakers, they should take sound quality into account.<br /><br /> But overall it's great camera, and worth every penny. If anyone is interested in getting one I suggest starting with one lens and buying more as you determine what you need.

i am by no meens a professional photographer, but with this camera I am well on my way! excellent photo quality and easy to use. sharpness of the pictures is wonderful and great pictures in "not so good" lighting.
(Source: www.bhphotovideo.com)
I love the camera. A very good compromise if you can't get the 5D mark II. The lens is a little less sturdy that the EF lenses but a very good starting point and a very wide range of options. I don't regret a single penny I spent on the kit.

Outstanding camera! Easy to use whether you are an experienced photographer or a novice. Recently over thanksgiving my three adult daughters and a son-in-law took several hundred photos of my grandaughter. None of them have any experience with a camera other than a PHD (Push Here Dummy) point and shoot type camera. About 95% of there shots were useable if not great. Whether you utilize manual, apeture priority, shutter priority (time value), or program mode, this camera is simple and easy to use. I use a Nikon D300 at work every day. After reading several articles and comparing the D300 to the 7D, I chose the 7D for the clarity of higher ISO shots and what looks like better color saturation. This camera has too many features to explain here, but I am extremely happy with this purchase. Unless you need a full frame camera, this is the best one on the market. One more thing, the eight frames a second setting is great for outdoor shots with the grandkids or sporting events. <br />

I've tried an Olympus Digital, Sony F828, Canon 40D but hands down the Canon 7D is the winner.<br /> The others are good cameras and I've sold many photographs taken by them but the 7D is the best so far. great sharp photos, clean, clear vibrant colors

I am a film student and this camera is so versatile and has great resolution. I am still learning all of the settings but it makes wonderful film projects. Our school has bought a bunch of them for our production classes. It is very hard to do follow shots with the camera though so a separate rig to balance the weight of the lens makes this work better.

This is a great camera. The included guidebook is excellent and very detailed in relaying information about where to change settings, iso, exposure, etc. This camera is excellent in low light, and the right choice for video.

I Upgraded my 20D, so the improvement is awesome, really good functions, usability. I went for the 7D over the 60D becuase of the body construction, Magnesium. Next purchave will be the vertical grip. For me it is a must!.<br />OVERALL The camera is great!. <br /><br />'LENS':<br />The lens is OK if you start in photography, remember it is not USM. By other his is an IS version (4 stops!). (I got the kit version because my equipment was stolen!, so i have no lenses at all).

This camera and lens combination is versatile for lots of situations. I'm impressed with the quality of the lens as well as the conveniently located external buttons on this camera that make it easy to change settings quickly without taking your eye off your subject.

I'm planning to use the 7D in my photography business and for personal use. I like the easy to use features. There is a wide range of capabilities for the new user and the seasoned professional. I haven't found anything yet that I do not like about it.
